Obama: Kanye ist ein Esel!

Nach der bizarren Rede von Kanye West bei den MTV Video Music Awards regt sich nun in den Staaten  Antipathie gegenüber dem Musiker, der gestern in den RTL 2-News bereits als "Rüpel-Rocker“ bezeichnet wurde. So sagte G-Unit-Rapper 50 Cent, dass Kanye für eine ähnliche Aktion bei ihm ein blaues Auge bekommen würde: "I wish he would come take one of my awards so I can black his eye and in front of everybody…"

Außerdem meinte Fiddy, dass Kanye der Countrysängerin Taylor Swift ihren ersten Award versaut hätte, eine Situation, die er sehr gut nachvollziehen könne. 2004 war Curtis Jackson schließlich als hoher Favorit für einen Grammy gehandelt worden, den er schlussendlich aber nicht bekam: "When you nominated for the first time, what you saw from me in 2004 was The Grammy’s. When I went up, Evanescence won Best New Artist and it was like, I sold 12 million records", sagte Fiddy, der sich seit längerer Zeit mit Kanye in einem selbst angezettelten Konkurrenzkampf befindet.

Anscheinend hinterließ dieses Erlebnis ein bleibendes Trauma, denn etwas betrübt fuhr der Hip Hop Unternehmer fort: "That’s the largest debuting hip-hop album today and I was overlooked and I still don’t have a Grammy. It’s been 13 nominations. It’s because I wrote the harsh realities, I’ve been overlooked, completely. So when you got an artist there for the first time and you go and you wanna tell them, well, you know, Beyonce is great. There’s nobody that’s confused in that actual area. But Taylor Swift is great and is new at that point and you can’t replace it. Even an apology can’t replace what it feels like for the very first time receiving that award. Now in her head, ‚My first award was Kanye West.‚ And it’s damaging!“

 

Barack Obama unterdessen sparte ebenfalls nicht mit Kritik an Kanye West. Am Rande eines Interviews wurde der 44. Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten gefragt, was er vom Auftritt des Rappers halten würde, woraufhin Obama Kanye einen "Jackass“ nannte, zu deutsch "einen Esel". Die Aussage wurde von einem anwesenden Journalisten, was auch sonst, getwittert.

"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‚jackass‘ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential," zwitscherte Terry Moran vom Fernsehsender ABC. Dumm nur, dass das weiße Haus ungern derartige, inoffizielle Informationen herausgibt, was dazu führte, dass der Twitter-Account des Journalisten gelöscht und sein Sender zu einer Entschuldigung genötigt wurde.

Und Kanye himself? Der trat gestern Abend bei Jay Leno auf, und erzählte dort mit stockender Stimme, dass er über eine Auszeit nachdenke: "I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause — and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with. And if there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like — you know, I want to live this thing. Its hard sometimes!"
