So hörte sich das mal an, als man den Wu- Tang Clan nach R’n’B fragte. Heute sieht das etwas anders aus. Ghostface Killah, der auf unzähligen Alben kiloweise das weiße Pulver unter das bedürftige Volk gebracht hat, ließ nun gegenüber UnKut verlauten, dass er sich allmählich, mit seinen 40 Jahren, zu alt fühlt, um den Crack- Märchenonkel raushängen zu lassen. In Zukunft will der, schon immer R’n’B affine Pretty Toney jedenfalls ruhigere Töne anschlagen und sich auch lyrisch den alltäglichen Problemen seines Lebens widmen.
"It’s my last album [for Def Jam ] so I wanted to do the album I always wanted to do. You gotta tell the fans that you not gettin‘ no younger here, we gettin‘ older! And everybody don’t sell crack no more, man. I don’t sell crack, yo. I ain’t movin‘ no bricks or none of that other sh*t. I ain’t shoot nobody in like since the early 90’s, man. Man darf jedenfalls gespannt sein, ob es dem Ironman gelingen wird, den Alltag eines vierzig jährigen Mannes lyrisch genauso anspruchsvoll und ansprechend zu verpacken, wie die geliebten Geschichten über das Drogengeschäft.
