Die Black Eyed Peas haben sich jetzt mit Amnesty.International zusammen geschlossen, um mit anderen Künstlern das "Make Some Noise" Album, welches aus Neuversionen von John Lennon Songs bestehen wird, zu produzieren. Lennons Ehefrau Yoko Ono stiftete 2003 die Rechte seiner Solo Tracks an Amnesty. Als erster Song wurde "Power To The People" neu bearbeitet und steht nun als Download bereit. “Power to the People is the ultimate anthem! We had an incredible time recording the track for Make Some Noise, and hope the single will motivate people to truly stand up and be counted," sagte BEPs will.I.am. "Make Some Noise", welches nächstes Jahr erscheinen soll, enthält u.a Coverversionen der Lennon Songs von Avril Lavigne, Snow Patrol, The Cure, The Postal Service und Maroon 5. "Lennon stood for so much, and it’s a privilege to ensure his music and messages reach out to people at such a poignant time of the year," äußerte sich Adam Levine von Maroon 5 in einem Interview. Das Album wird im Zusammenhang mit der "Make Some Noise" Initiative veröffentlicht, welche eine Menschenrechtsorganisation von Amnesty ist.
