Nein, es wird keine Klamotten-Linie sein, auch kein Energy Drink – überraschenderweise das Bücher-Schreiben hat es Styles P. angetan. In einem Radiointerview sagte er, dass er einen fiktiven Roman mit dem fantasievollen Namen "Mr. Invincible“ plant: "I got a book coming though, Mr. Invincible, a fiction joint coming out, through Nicki Turner Presents and Random House," sagte er.
Und auch das Handwerk eines Filmemachers kommt für ihn in Frage, sagte der 36-jährige. Allerdings wird hier kein 50 Cent’scher Anspruch auf ein Meisterwerk erhoben.
Styles P. sprach davon, keinen Kinofilm sondern einen Direct-to-DVD-Film drehen zu wollen: "We’re trying to expand, also we got a couple straight-to-DVD films D-Block is trying to put out. Phantom Gangster Chronicles, we got part one and about to put out part two and three so we’re just trying to expand the brand.”
Der MC sagte, dass man schlicht und einfach nicht für immer rappen könne. Er klagte darüber, dass viele Rapper nicht wüssten, wann ihre Zeit gekommen sei, um die "Fackel abzugeben“.
“I need another occupation, man. You can’t rap forever. We got young D-Block, I’m still in the rap game but eventually I gotta pass the baton but eventually I’ll be out of the relay. It’ll be all on them and I can just spot check when I want to. I think a lot of rappers and emcees forget to pass the torch and open the door for other people.”
Er gab sich selbst einen klaren Zeitplan, wann er vom Rap- ins Buchgeschäft wechseln will. Mehr als 6, 7 Jahre wolle er nicht länger rappen.
Er gehört damit keiner Minderheit mehr an, von Eminem bis Rakim sprachen viele der US Amerikanischen A-Prominenz Rapper bereits über einen Ausstieg aus dem aktiven Rap-Geschäft.
