„Ein guter Rapper verdient viel!“

Ein Freund falscher Bescheidenheit war Bryan Williams, besser bekannt als Birdman, ja nie. Seinem Ziehkind Lil Wayne schenkte der extrovertierte Labelboss von Cash Money Records einen Louis Vuitton-Koffer, der nebenbei noch mit einer Million Dollar befüllt war und auch sonst pflegt der Vogelmann einen eher prunkvollen Lebensstil. In einem Interview sprach Birdman nun über etwaige Konkurrenz, wie zum Beispiel Jay-Z, der auf der viel diskutierten "The hottest MC“-Liste den ersten Platz einnimmt. Er sagte, dass Jigga keine Konkurrenz für die ihn darstellen würde und dass man einen guten Rapper nach seinen Verkaufszahlen bewertet sollte.

"I don’t think he a number one emcee in no kinda way," sagte Baby dem etwas sonderlichen Interviewer."Wayne the best he do the most and he make the most money. I dont think no nigga in the business make more money than us. How could you be the best if you don’t make the best money, the most money and you don’t do the most.

Desweiteren stellte er klar, dass niemand den Codein-Lyriker Lil Wayne übertreffen würde.

"Lyrically, come on man be for real man can’t nobody fuck with Wayne. And to me, if you number one and you aint getting no money it don’t mean nothing. Who’s making the most money. That’s number one to me!“

Am Ende stellte er noch einmal klar, wo die Kernkompetenzen eines guten Rappers liegen sollten:  Bei Nummer Eins-Platten.

"Fuck all that rap shit. Shit, y’all got cold rappers you never even heard and then you got niggas who really can’t rap and making money. It’s about who’s making the most money to me. I don’t give a fuck about the rest of that shit."
