Bow Wow, ehemals Lil’ Bow Wow, gibt erneut sein Ausscheiden aus der Rapwelt bekannt. Der 22-Jährige hatte schon mehrfach das Ende seiner Rapkarriere angekündigt, jetzt scheint es ihm aber wirklich ernst zu sein – nach dem Release seines neuen Albums soll Schluss sein. Als Grund gab Bow Wow an, dass er in der Musik alles erreicht habe, und nun nach neuen Aufgaben sucht.
"This is my last album because for me, there’s no more that needs to be done on the music side, I’ve done everything," erklärte Bow. "And the scary thing is I’m 22 years old and I’m young. I’m still a baby, so it’s kinda like on the music side, I’ve been doing it since five. That’s 17 years of non-stop music, music, music. There’s nothing more to accomplish that I haven’t seen yet…I feel like now it’s time to endure a new challenge…Close the chapter on the Bow Wow legacy…As far as albums, I’m good. Seven albums at 22, that’s crazy."
Zu den neuen Aufgaben zählt natürlich die obligatorische Klamottenlinie. Der Unterschied zu Marken wie Sean John soll in der Preisklasse liegen, sagte der 22-jährige.
"Now, times are harder for parents to go to the mall if they got two kids or three kids and try to buy three pairs of Jordans — I felt it was my responsibility to cater to them and put something in the market place affordable for all people," sagte Bow Wow in einem Interview. "So that’s my way of giving back to my fans and the community. Same quality as a Jordan sneaker, it only cost $26 to make a Jordan shoe, period — right now, it’s Prince Bow which is me. I’m the prince of hip-hop and everyone calls me Bow anyway, so it’s Prince Bow."
Und Rick Ross, auch bekannt als „multi-million dollar Miami mayor“ gibt hoffnungsvollen Nachwuchsschauspielerinnen wichtige Karrieretips. Der wichtigste ist dabei, niemals Geschlechtsverkehr mit Curtis „50 Cent“ Jackson zu haben, da das zwangsläufig ein Karriereende zur Folge hat. Als Beispiel führte Ross dabei die Schauspielerin Vivica.Fox an, deren Karriere sich nach einer Affäre mit Fiddy nie wirklich erholt hat.
"If a bitch fuck him, she ends her career," erklärte Ross mit der ihm eigenen konfuzianischen Weisheit. "Look at Vivica. look at Vivica. Any bitch fuck that monkey, you’re lost, you caught up. Baby, it’s like, it’s only the fortune. Come on, at least try to hide the shit. He ended that bitch Vivica.s career though. She on reality shows now, it’s like damn. I used to like her, I used to like her. When’s the last time you seen her on something…All y’all young ladies, do your business careers a favor, stay away from the monkey, see what he did to Vivica.
