Erstmal ein FETTES Dankeschön an alle Hip-Hop Kemp Besucher, dass ihr so überaus zahlreich erschienen seid. 20.000 Leute haben dieses Jahr das Festival unterstützt. Wenn man bedenkt dass es im Eröffnungsjahr 2002 noch 3.500 Besucher waren, ist das eine beachtliche Wachstumsrate. Das Wetter hat auch super mitgespielt, eitel Sonnenschein und kein Wölkchen am Himmel, einfach entspannend.
Das Line-Up hatte sich zwar ein bisschen verändert, statt Little Brother (die Aufgrund von Absagen seitens diverser Veranstalter ihre komplette Tour absagen mussten) trat Afu-Ra auf. Leider, leider musste Guru komplett absagen, weil er in NYC festsaß. Sein Manager äusserte sich dazu folgendermaßen:
"We are stuck at Newark Airport right now because Czech Airlines says that the flight is overbooked and that the travel agent should have preconfirmed our seats. There is a line of about 25 people here so I dont know that we will make the flight and the next flight is on Sunday so I dont know if we are going to be able to make this concert. We were here early like at 300pm and the flight leaves at 545. We are in no way responsible if we cannot make it to Prague. Please know that we had all the intentions in the world to come and rip the festival for the people in Prague and for you guys as we are some of the most serious entertainers you will meet and we love what we do! We feel awful that this was not able to happen so please forward this e-mail to the promoters in Prague and let them know we will be available for any future events."
