Eminem spielt Shady Claus

Ach, die Wirtschaftskrise, die macht vor keinem Halt. Egal, ob Fan oder Rap-Star, im Angesicht des Raubtierkapitalismus zittert man zusammen. Und so muss auch Eminem langsam schauen, wo das Geld für neue Bandanas und Haarfärbemittel herkommt. Das mag man jedenfalls denken, wenn man  hört, dass Eminem mittlerweile personalisierte Autogrammkarten über das Internet vertreibt. Der US-Rapper verkauft über seine Homepage Grußkarten, bei denen der Kunde sein Gesicht hochladen kann und somit auf Slim Shadys Schoss sitzt.

Wer jetzt jedoch befürchtete, dass Em sich völlig verramschen würde, der irrt. Die gesamten Erlöse der Kampagne kommen seiner karikativen Organisation, der Marshall Mathers Foundation, zu.

"All proceeds from the sale of Shady Claus autographed photos will go to The Marshall Mathers Foundation, Eminem’s charitable organization for the support and development of disadvantaged youth.“

Und während Eminem Postkarten unterschreibt, stellt Asher Roth mit einem beeindruckenden Statement klar, dass er nicht schwul ist. Der junge Mann, der jeden Prinz Harry-Look-a-like-Contest gewinnen würde, musste sich aufgrund seines immensen Erfolges immer wieder "beschuldigen“ lassen, er wäre schwul. In dem Statement bedauerte er, den Leuten den Spaß zu verderben, er sei aber nun mal nicht homosexuell.

"I hate to disappoint and take away the entertainment of it all but I am straight, not gay. It’s disheartening to know such "news" on someone’s personal life can be portrayed as fact with no viable source. This, to me, is an opportunity to expose our vulnerability to lies and manipulation through unprofessional and irresponsible news outlets, in which people consider TRUTH.”

Vielmehr bedauere er jedoch, dass auch noch im Jahre 2010 Religion, Rasse und sexuelle Ausrichtung eine viel zu wichtige Rolle spielen würden. Er ärgere sich des weiteren darüber, dass das Wort"schwul“ immer noch ein Schimpfwort sei, mit dem man Menschen verletzten wolle.
