In diesem Jahr gewannen Outkast gleich zwei Preise für: „Hey Ya“ (bestes R`n`B/Soul/Rap-Musicvideo) und „Speakerboxx/The Love Below“ (R`n`B/Soul/Rap-Album des Jahres). Weitere Preise gingen an: Alicia Keys(“You Don’t Know My Name”/ R`n`B/Soul Single, Female), Luther Vandross ("Dance With My Father”/ R`n`B/Soul Single, Male), Floetry ("Say Yes”/ R`n`B/Soul Single, Group, Band or Duo), Beyonce (“Dangerously In Love”/ R`n`B/Soul Album, Female), R.Kelly ("Chocolate Factory”/ R`n`B/Soul Album, Male), B2K ("Pandemonium”/ R`n`B/Soul Album Group, Band or Duo), Chingy ("Right Thurr”/ R`n`B/Soul or Rap New Artist) und Byron Cage ("The Prince of Praise”/ Gospel Album).
